Planet matters

As a sustainable social enterprise, everything we create is designed to care for people, animals, and the planet so that what you wear supports your wellbeing while also protecting the world around you. From bloom to bedroom, our commitment to responsibility runs through every step of the journey, including how your garment is designed, made, packaged, and delivered.

We choose lower impact materials that are breathable, gentle on skin, and produced with fewer resources and no hazardous chemicals, helping reduce pollution and environmental harm. To reduce emissions at the raw material and manufacturing stages, we prioritise certified fibres such as GOTS and OCS verified materials. These standards independently confirm lower impact farming, responsible processing, and traceable supply chains, helping ensure your garments are made with reduced environmental impact from fibre to final product.

Our garments are thoughtfully designed as high quality, seasonless essentials made to last, so you can enjoy comfort for years while reducing unnecessary waste. We produce in small batches and incorporate carefully sourced surplus fabrics where possible, transforming unused luxury materials into limited edition garments while preventing excess production.

Your order is packaged using minimal, recyclable, reusable, or compostable materials, and we prioritise lightweight packaging to reduce delivery emissions. We also work to lower transport impact by consolidating shipments, selecting lower emission freight options where possible, and sourcing materials closer to our production partners to reduce travel distance across the supply chain.

Because when rest becomes restoration, it should restore more than you. It should help restore the world you wake up in.

Materials and sustainability

We prioritise natural, biodegradable materials with a low environmental impact so your sleepwear feels good on your skin and good for the world. We do not use animal derived materials and are proudly 100% vegan.

96% of Goodnap products are made from certified organic fabrics, including OCS certified European Flax™ organic linen and GOTS and OCS certified organic cotton, with the remaining 4% made from plant based TENCEL™ fibres, including TENCEL™ Luxe Lyocell and one style made from TENCEL™ Modal blended with a small amount of spandex to improve longevity.

These lower impact fabrics use fewer resources and less energy to produce, helping protect water systems, ecosystems, and local communities. We also implement chemical safety controls through recognised third party certification standards such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX which include strict restrictions on substances permitted in both finished products and manufacturing processes. This helps ensure your garments are made with safer chemistry from fibre to final product.

We manage deforestation risk through responsible sourcing policies and certified material selection. We prioritise fibres from suppliers that meet recognised environmental standards, including TENCEL™ fibres sourced from responsibly managed forests certified to FSC® or PEFC™ standards. We also prioritise certified organic materials such as GOTS and OCS verified fibres, which support traceable supply chains and environmentally responsible land use practices. These measures help ensure our materials are sourced without contributing to deforestation and that forests and ecosystems are protected across our supply chain.

The result is sleepwear that is better for the planet, kinder to the people who make it, and gentle on your skin.

We implement water reduction initiatives across multiple stages of our supply chain. At the raw material stage, we prioritise fibres such as European Flax linen, which is typically rain fed and requires minimal irrigation. During processing, we work with suppliers certified to recognised environmental standards such as GOTS, which require wastewater treatment and responsible water management. At final production, our garments are not pre washed, reducing water and energy use and preventing unnecessary wastewater generation.

Because caring for your rest should also mean caring for the world’s water.

Organic Linen - European Flax™

Our Linen Collection is made from the finest European Flax™ . A certified organic flax grown by a group of farmers along the coastal strip of land in Western Europe, that stretches from Normandy in France, to the Netherlands and Belgium. The farming traditions and experience handed down over generations and the ideal climate conditions result in growing flax that is of exceptional quality. They are soft, strong, moisture absorbent and thermoregulating. Linen sleepwear is perfect for promoting a good night’s sleep due to its absorption capacity, breathability, and ability to wick moisture, regulating body temperature.

The European Flax™ certification guarantees traceability and sustainability for this premium fibre and also ensures it's social and ethical responsibilities - in compliance with the rules of the International Labour Office. These standards cover fundamental rights at work, including freedom of association, non-discrimination and elimination of forced labor and child labor.

The linen also is certified with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) - an internationally recognised certification for organic fabrics. GOTS also includes social criteria, ensuring fair working conditions and prohibiting child labor.

2. Organic Cotton - OCS

Our Organic Cotton Collection is made from the softest, organic cotton (less than 1% of the world's cotton is organic). Organic cotton is toxic free, reduces pollution, supports communities, and ensures the clothes we wear are safer for us since they don’t contain the myriad of chemicals often found in conventional cotton clothes.

Our organic sleepwear is OCS Certified -The Organic Content Standard, ensuring it is traceable from farm to pyjama. OCS covers all aspects of the supply chain, from harvesting to manufacturing, labeling, and distribution. Organic cotton protects the earth from environmental damage and keeps the land fertile for much longer. Organic cotton also supports and protects farmers and their communities, safeguarding their clean water and food supplies.

3. TENCEL™ Modal - Sustainable by Design

TENCEL™ Modal is crafted from sustainably sourced beech wood plantations in Austria and surrounding European countries - certified by FSC® and PEFC™ to support responsible forestry.

TENCEL™ Modal's closed-loop processes that reuse water and solvents, it carries the EU Ecolabel for high environmental standards and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for safety certified to ensure it is free of harmful substances.

TENCEL™ Modal fibers are incredibly soft on your skin as well as gentle on the planet, making it the comfortable, conscious choice for your sleepwear. It also washes and dries beautifully- withstanding repeated washing and drying cycles.

4. Packaging - Postage - Labels

At Goodnap, we design our packaging with the same care as our garments so your order arrives safely while creating as little environmental impact as possible. We use minimal packaging and prioritise materials that can be reused, recycled, or returned to nature.

Our postal boxes are made from recycled paper and cardboard sourced from responsibly managed forests and are 100% FSC® certified. They are sturdy enough to be reused and are fully recyclable and compostable after use. Wherever possible, we also reuse existing cardboard and paper materials within our fulfilment process to extend their life and reduce unnecessary waste.

When protective packaging is needed, we use EN 13432 certified biodegradable alternatives. Our transit bags from Cleanbodia are made from cassava root starch, a renewable plant based bioplastic certified OK biobased by TÜV Austria, allowing you to dispose of them responsibly with minimal environmental impact.

All Goodnap brand and care labels are made from unbleached cotton, which is fully biodegradable and requires less chemical and energy processing. This helps reduce pollution, protects waterways, and ensures every detail of your garment supports both your wellbeing and the planet.

Because restoration is in the details, even our packaging is designed to care for what matters most.

5. "Waste isn't waste until you waste it"- Will.I.AM

At Goodnap, we believe rest should restore more than your energy. It should restore people and planet too. That’s why every garment is intentionally designed to give you the best possible feeling: comfort that supports your wellbeing, quality that lasts for years, and the peace of mind that your purchase is creating positive change.

Our pieces can be worn in any season, with high quality essentials made to move with your life, not trends. By producing in small, limited runs and releasing no more than two collections per year, we focus on craftsmanship over excess so you receive thoughtfully made garments rather than mass produced fashion. This approach reduces waste, protects resources, and ensures each piece you wear feels purposeful and considered. Some pieces are crafted from carefully sourced surplus fabrics, transforming unused luxury materials into limited edition garments.

We choose naturally derived fibres such as organic cotton, organic linen, and TENCEL™ that are breathable, gentle on skin, and produced using lower impact processes. Wherever possible, we minimise fibre blends so your garments remain durable, comfortable, and easier to recycle at the end of their life, extending the restoration journey beyond your wardrobe.

Our circular design approach means fabric is valued at every stage. Precision pattern making helps maximise material use, while remaining off cuts are used to train new makers at our partner sewing centres, transforming surplus fabric into opportunity, skills, and dignified employment.

Because for us, sustainability is not just about what you wear. It is about what your clothing makes possible. When you choose Goodnap, you are not only investing in your own rest, recovery, and wellbeing. You are also supporting a system designed to care for people, protect the planet, and restore what matters most.
