Fashion Remains one of the Biggest Contributors to Modern Slavery Globally
"The fast-fashion industry in particular is built on environmental harm and poor working conditions
which can be found at every stage of the supply chain, from the growing & harvesting of the cotton
to the manufacturing of the fabric & garments".
- Grace Forrest
Founding director and CEO of Walk Free Foundation
Walk Free is an international human rights organisation dedicated to eradicating modern slavery.
The Problem
After tech, fashion is the world’s second-largest industry driving forced and child
labour, poverty wages, and exploitation.
Of the 75 million garment workers globally, 80% are women and only between
2- 4% of brands even claim to pay them a living wage. That $8 fast-fashion shirt?
Someone, somewhere, is paying the real price with their freedom and their future.
Globally there are 151.6 million children aged between five and 17 years in child
labour. Half of these children are in hazardous work including in fashion supply chains.
But here’s the good news, we have the power to change this.
By eliminating exploitation from everyday items - including what we wear to bed.
We can help to create a fairer world, one choice at a time.
The Solution
Employment-as-empowerment.
Goodnap has built a transformational business model that flips the script entirely.
It is an opportunity platform which provides life-changing employment for women
freed from human trafficking in Cambodia.
It's where employment becomes empowerment, where skills become independence,
and where one job doesn't just change one life, it has a ripple effect, transforming
families, communities, and futures.
These women have income, skills, protection, and agency over their own lives.
They're rebuilding their own futures through dignified work.
These women aren't just learning to sew. They're gaining transferable skills,
professional training, and redefining their futures. Some women are now trainers,
counsellors and teachers at AIM school, while others have become real-estate
agents and business owners.
"Some believe it is only great power that can change the world, but that is not what I have found.
It is through small everyday acts of kindness and love".
― J.R.R. Tolkien
Meet the change-makers
The pyjamas are of the finest quality. It's so good to know that my purchase of these fine garments is helping to rescue women and children from slavery and poverty.
I’ve never slept better (or felt better about what I’m wearing to bed).
What makes me happiest, though, is knowing they’re ethically made and sustainably sourced. It feels good to support a brand that actually cares about people and the planet.
If you’re looking for sleepwear that perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and knowing you are supporting individuals to help rebuild their lives, you cannot go past Goodnap pjs.
Pj’s are beautiful, fast delivery and such a good cause. I love goodnap! 🤍🤍
fashion for good
Join a growing global movement of people who want to see an end to human trafficking and exploitation.
This is why so many movements like the Fashion Revolution's Who Made My Clothes Movement has risen to end this exploitation.
Our pyjamas have a purpose greater than your bedroom
Our pyjamas go beyond your bedroom — they’re stitched with purpose.
Made by women who are rebuilding their lives after human trafficking, each piece is personally signed by the woman who made it, directly connecting you with the woman who you supported with your purchase.
We’re endlessly inspired by the strength and resilience of these women, and honoured to walk alongside them. Each time a woman is given the chance to rebuild her life, it doesnt just change her story, it rewrites the future for her family, her community, and generations to follow.
This is sleepwear made with heart, made with hope — and made for more.
The Story - Meet the founders
We set-out to set women free.
When we heard the stories of young people trapped in human trafficking - it shook us, we couldn't unhear it.
Like so many people we felt the weight of injustice ....and the overwhelm of not knowing where to begin. We wanted a simple way we could all take meaningful action, so with hearts full of hope, we created Goodnap, a purpose-driven sleepwear company on a mission to put social injustice to bed.
Goodnap is so much more than sleepwear, It’s an opportunity platform creating safe, empowering training and employment for survivors of human trafficking through our partner sewing centre, AIM.
As Goodnap grows, so does the impact and you're a part of it. With every sleepwear-set you're helping set someone one up for a life of freedom and opportunity. You're helping them to rise and write the next chapter of freedom in their lives.
Because Goodnap isn’t just what you wear to sleep, it’s your invitation to change the world.
